I have been drinking water like crazy the last couple of weeks. We are living in a new place ( which rocks) but for some reason heats up really quickly – even though there are trees everywhere. Especially my office and the house has no AC ( which is totally normal for Oregon) – long story short – I ended up buying 2 more fans this week. I change up my detox daily – but this is one I have been sipping all week ( it is REALLY yummy and easy to make)

My parents have this crazy mint plant – I think it must be over 10 years old by now and it will not ever die ( not that I want it to ) but it looks like death during the winter ( more than the other plants) but it always comes back. Mint is so freshening and a great way to add a flavor to ehatever you are drinking without increasing the calories. I ended up using lime – because limes might be my favorite fruit ever! I have always loved lime and use it in EVERYTHING I can. Have you ever had cilantro lime chicken – it is what legends are made of.

I always get lots of questions about my detox waters hopefully I will answer them below ( let me know in the comment section if I miss something)

I would sip the detox water at least 3 times a day – I always use the same ingredients all three times. I would suggest waiting two weeks to start seeing the results

Using colder water and ice would be best. I always used filter water as well

To give this detox an extra boost I always do a little lemon essential oil ( this helps speed up your metabolism) – I sell Young Living Essential oils and that is what I use.

Ingredients

  • Tons of Ice
  • ¼ Cup of Ice Water
  • 3 Slices of Lime
  • Mint - chopped up
  • Green Tea ( cold) - I use about ½ Cup

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a glass
  2. Stir and Enjoy
  3. Drink 3 times a day

    hi! just wanted to share my green tea recipe. it’s pretty similar. First I steep a cup of Tazo zen green tea with speariment then put it in a glass with some lemon. it’s really good and a good substitute if you can’t find limes or mint

    I use that method but I use my own green tea which consists of: 2 bags of green tea, water, 1/2 cucumber, 2 mint leaves and 1/2 lemon. I put that in a pitcher and let it sit overnight. I drink it throughout the day but seems to do it’s job.
